This public service announcement is a reminder to turn off the lights when they are no longer needed. Leaving the lights on unnecessarily whether at work, school or at home is wasteful, has an effect on the climate, and over time adds up to be rather expensive. The simple act of remembering to turn off lights when they are not being used contributes to what we all need to do to make our environment more sustainable. Don't stop with just lights not being used ...consider other devices that are using electricity even if they appear to be off -- unplug them, particularly when you plan to be away for any length of time. "The last one out please turn off the lights" is more than just a saying, it is a way of living and it saves money on your energy bills.
