Sailors with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit conducts one of two scheduled medical/dental civil affairs projects held at local elementary schools in Puerto Princesa City. Diagnosing and treating ailments for free, the medical personnel spent three days at the first site, admitting any local that visited the school. The MED/DENCAP projects are part of the 31st MEU's Amphibious Landing Exercise, now in its 29th iteration, where U.S. forces work and train alongside their Filipino counterparts.
Soundbite includes Navy LT. Zachary Smith - Medical Planner, 31st MEU.
