Marines assigned to Battalion Landing Team (BLT) 3/2, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), egress from an amphibious assault vehicle (AAV) while performing a direct action raid on a building at Fort Pickett, Va., Sept. 8, 2012. AAV's are an essential part of the MEU, their main goal is to transport Marines and Sailors from ship to shore, so they are able to accomplish their objective. This training was part of the 26th MEU's pre-deployment training program.
