International Security Assistance Forces in the Spin Boldak district of Afghanistan completed Operation Southern Strike 3, September 1-9. U.S. forces with 5-20th Infantry Regiment, 502nd Military Intelligence Battalion, 569th Engineers, 426th Civil Affairs, as well as multiple Security Force Assistance Teams cleared villages with Afghan Border Police and removed several IEDs.
