Military, federal and municipal emergency response personnel participated in Exercise Lethal Breeze 2012 at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Sept. 6. The purpose of the exercise was to not only prepare military and civilian response agencies for the upcoming 2012 Kaneohe Bay Air Show, but also for any disaster that could require their unified response. Lethal Breeze 2012 exercised two scenarios: a terrorist attack taking place during an on-base air show and a military aircraft crashing into an off-base, civilian housing community. The purpose of the exercise was to further integrate military and civilian capabilities to help ensure their effective response during a disaster. Available in high definition. Soundbites:
1) Jacqueline Freeland, Anti-Terrorism / Force Protection officer, Marine Corps Base Hawaii
2) Lt . Cmdr. Paul Langevin, Assistant Regimental Surgeon, 3rd Marine Regiment
