The torch of responsibility was passed to the 316th Expeditionary Sustainment Command (ESC) to continue the enduring mission of support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The outgoing 364th ESC is an Army Reserve unit from Marysville, Washington. They handed the mission in the Middle East to the 316th ESC, based in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. The transfer of authority was conducted at a ceremony at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Featuring: Maj. Gen. Kurt Stein, 1st TSC Commanding General Brig. Gen.   • The Alabama Army National Guard's 135th Expeditionary Sustainment Command uncased their colors during a Transfer of Authority ceremony on March 16 at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.  They assumed responsibility from the 316th ESC as the logistics headquarters for the gulf region.  The 316th ESC is based out of Coraopolis, Penn.
  • Soldiers of the 316th Expeditionary Sustainment Command commemorated their deployment to Kuwait by having a patch ceremony.  The right sleeve of the army uniform is for displaying the unit that a soldier deployed with into a combat zone.

Every soldier of the 316th received a patch from their commanding general, Brig. Gen. Bud R. Jameson, Jr.

The 316th arrived at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait at the beginning of July and will remain through the beginning of next year.
