In this video, released by the 36th Combat Aviation Brigade, the Texas Army National Guard conducts a farewell ceremony for the U.S. Army Apache A-model at Ellington Field in Houston, Texas, July 15, 2012. The event marked the retirement of the last A-model Apache aircraft in the Army inventory, as the fleet shifts to more recent models. The last unit of the model series, this AH-64A Apache, tail number 90-00451, served overseas in several key engagements since its date of manufacture in 1993. It will go on to be upgraded to a D-Model Longbow by the Boing company and the Apache Aviation team. Also available in high definition.
