The Justice Sector Support Program oversaw a four day long justice class in Spin Boldak district, Afghanistan. This mock trial is the final stage. Afghan judges, prosecutors, border police and other individual in the Afghan legal system attended the class. Students came from Kabul, Spin Boldak and Kandahar provinces, and most of the students have attended other classes held by the JSSP. But this is the first time they examined case studies or held a mock trial. In previous classes, students learned step-by-step how-to of crime scene investigations and legal procedures. Now students must think critically in real world scenarios. The students examined five cases with crimes dealing from burglary to murder, and had to discuss possible actions for all justice personnel involved. Also available in high definition. Soundbite from Sultan Mahboob
