Salvage masters and response teams boarded the grounded 185-foot freighter Jireh to prepare for the start of oil and cargo removal operations June 26, 2012. A Unified Command made up of Coast Guard, Department of Natural and Environmental Resources, Puerto Rico Environmental Quality Board and other federal, state and local agencies has been working to remove the vessel from Mona Island, Puerto Rico, where it grounded June 21, 2012.
