An Afghan National Army senior medic, Staff Sgt. Asmatullah, medical platoon sergeant, HQ Tolai, 4th Kandak, 2nd Brigade, 215th Corps, teaches ANA soldiers a class on intravenous insertion during the ANA medic course March 10, 2012. The eight-week course is taught by ANA instructors and is another step toward medical independence for Afghan National Security Forces. The course covers basic medical treatment, including hemorrhage control, emergency medicine and evacuation. Also available in high definition.
