Army Garrison-Hawaii's Natural Resources Team recently won the Secretary of the Army's 2011 Natural Resources Conservation Team Award. The team works to preserve endangered species of plant, animal, and insect on Oahu. Since there are over 300 endangered species in the state, and over 100 are on Army land, the team ensures the Army is in compliance with the Endangered Species Act. In this video, the team plants over 100 of the Kamakahala, a plant native to the Oahu mountains.
