B-roll of Marines and Sailors with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit approach the USS Iwo Jima (LHD-7) on LCACs (Landing Craft Air Cushioned) off Little Creek, Va., May 23, prior to the start of Fleet Week New York 2011. Various units from II Marine Expeditionary Force have organized under the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit to form the Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force – New York. The Marines are embarking on the Navy’s Amphibious Assault Ships, the USS Iwo Jima (LHD-7) and USS New York (LPD-21) to take part in Fleet Week, May 25 – Jun 1.
