B-roll of how U.S. Army Capt. Tywin M. Handson became the newest commander of the 7th Squadron, 10th U.S. Cavalry Regiment, Dragon Forward Support Troop Command Team, during a change-of-command ceremony held at Camp Stone, Herat Province, Afghanistan. Handson accepted command from Capt. Patrick J. Reardon, who held the post from August 2008 to January 2011. During the ceremony Lt. Col. Scott C. Mitchell, Squadron Command Team commander, passed the guidon from Reardon to Handson. Handson, a native of Kansas City, Mo., received a Master of Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma, and received his commission as a second lieutenant in 2003 after completing the Officer Basic Course at Fort Lee, Va. Handson was formerly stationed as a liaison officer for Task Force Raider-West and is on his third deployment in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom II and Operation Enduring Freedom.
