11 European nations, U.S. activate ground-breaking Heavy Airlift Wing: 30-year partnership to share C-17s in global operations

Supplies donated for humanitarian relief in Georgia
 A C-17 Globemaster departed Ramstein Air Base, Germany, and landed at Tbilisi International Airport, Aug. 13, 2008, delivering $1 million in humanitarian aid to reduce the suffering of the people of the Republic of Georgia.

Rescue Squadron helps save Afghan boy
Members from the 210th Expeditionary Rescue Squadron were credited with helping save a 5-year-old local national boy's life after being struck by a vehicle near Jalalabad Airfield, Afghanistan Feb. 2.
