Marines of past and present spend time together at Marine Corps League
 When the Marines and Sailors of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force 26 stepped out of their vans in the parking lot of the Staten Island Marine Corps League, Nov. 3, they were enthusiastically welcomed with handshakes from members of the club, themselves Marines from older generations.

Marines with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force - Afghanistan traveled to a local Afghan hospital May 22, 2009 to visit Abdullah Jon, mayor of Delaram, Farah province after a failed assassination attempt by suspected Taliban insurgents.

Afghanistan deployed aviation combat element performs above, beyond expectations
 Twelve hours on, 12 hours off. Grease covers their uniforms. Their arms and legs sore from turning wrenches, climbing their aircraft or the eight-hour mission they just completed. Exhausted, dirty – happy to wake up the next morning and do it again.
