Cole Davis, quarterback from Kearney High School, Kearney, Mo., launches a football during passing drills at the Junior Rank Proving Ground National Combine at Chase Field here Jan. 2. The combine featured 300 of America's rising high school stars and focused not only on talent, but character, academic performance and attitudes that most reflect the Marine Corps' values of honor, courage and commitment. Davis is an accomplished football player and student with a 9-3 record, 1,300 yards, 12 touchdowns, 2nd Team All Conference and 3.8 grade point average.
