Girl Scout salutes female Soldiers
A Girl Scout from Amanda, Ohio, has taken it upon herself to salute female Soldiers with donated items she collected for the Ohio Army National Guard - specifically for female Soldiers deployed overseas.

The Ohio Grocers Association and the Ohio Council of Retail Merchants will lead an effort with several of their trade associations to sign a Statement of Support for the National Guard and Reserve
Col. (Ret) Robert J. Labadie, state chair of the Ohio Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Committee, an agency of the Department of Defense, announced that Thomas S. Jackson, CAE, president and CEO of the Ohio Grocers Association; and John C. Mahaney, Jr., president of the Ohio Council of Retail Merchants; along with several other trade associations will sign a Statement of Support for the National Guard and Reserve on Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, at 2:00 P.M. The signing ceremony will occur at the Ohio Statehouse Rotunda, near the memorial display for Lima Company, 3/25 Marine Corps Reserve.

Specialty units participate in joint disaster training exercise
In the metropolitan area of Toledo, the worst has happened. An earthquake measuring 7.5 on the Richter scale has shaken the city and the surrounding area. The earthquake can be felt all over the Eastern United States as far away as Maine and the Black Hills of South Dakota.
