Sunni, Shi’a, Christians work together to equip Iraqi security forces
Senior Iraqi and coalition leaders marked the transfer of the 3,000th armored Humvee to the government of Iraq on Nov. 22 through a program employing 522 Iraqis from different ethnic and religious backgrounds including Sunni, Shi’a and Christian.

First Formal Inspector General Foundation Course graduates 64 students
Sixty-four inspector general investigators are the first employees to complete a course in inspector general roles and functions at the ministry of interior. The inspector general is charged with eliminating any type of corruption in the ministry, ensuring the employees of the ministry are accountable to the people, and enforcing a transparent investigative process.

Ministry of Interior graduates 407 community police officers in new program to build trust
The ministry of interior graduated 407 community police officers Monday in Baghdad from the first such course to be held. The new community policing program puts newly trained community relations police officers in every police station and other governmental offices to strengthen the Iraqi police’s ties and communication with local communities.

Camp Dublin growing to train more Iraqi National Police
The Camp Dublin national police training center has just completed the first phase of an expansion to double its size. This expansion will support greater numbers of national police and ensure both recruits and instructors have the resources and facilities they need to build the skills, training and knowledge needed to continue the positive gains in security that have spread throughout Iraq.
