Young people in high school today have a difficult time deciding what they want to do for the rest of their lives, following graduation. Some continue on to college in hopes to find their calling, some go straight into the workforce and attempt to make their way to the top. There are, however, the few that decide to dedicate their lives to serving their country.

With Marine Week Cleveland 2012, slated for June 11-17, only weeks away, the Corps is making efforts to build and maintain relationships with local communities before the first boots hit the ground. Aiding in that effort was the Camp Lejeune, N.C.-based All Marine Wrestling Team, in town to share their knowledge of Greco-Roman wrestling with over 60 students and coaches from the Cleveland area during a two day clinic at St. Edwards High School, May 8-9.

 Upstate youth, future Marines, preview 'Boot Camp'
Youths from across Upstate New York will gather, April 27-28, to learn more about their commitment to the United States Marine Corps during the annual Recruiting Station Albany Combined Pool Function in Watervliet, NY. Some 450 future recruits from across Eastern New York will come face-to-face with active-duty Marine Corps drill instructors from Parris Island, S.C., to sharpen their physical and mental readiness for their pending enlistment.

 MCRC awards all four year Frederick C. Branch Leadership Scholarships
For the first time since the program began in 2006, Marine Corps Recruiting Command has awarded all 34 allotted four-year Frederick C. Branch Leadership Scholarships to qualified men and women who attend or plan on attending participating historically black colleges and universities.
