NATO soldiers learn to work as one during Bold Quest 2011 Its been said, the sum of the whole is greater than the individual parts. One example of this is when NATO was formed to check Soviet expansion after World War II. And while the Cold War is over, the alliance continues to be relevant in the post 9/11 world. NATO troops continue to serve in Afghanistan, alliance member states participated in the invasion of Iraq and the recent employment of NATO air power over Libya fully illustrates the capability of the alliance and its importance on the world stage. 09.13.11 Story by Staff Sgt. David Bruce
