Approximately 300 Army Reserve soldiers and 190 Navy sailors will be assigned to the Armed Forces Reserve Center - Wilmington. The Army Reserve’s 650th Transportation Company and the 1151st Transportation Company have a new place they can call home.

While many in the nation were remembering Pearl Harbor, the Alabama Army National Guard and the 81st Regional Support Command, U.S. Army Reserve conducted a ribbon cutting ceremony on the new Joint Force Headquarters Armed Forces Readiness Center here, Dec. 7, 2011.

In the United States, the 11th day of the 11th month of any year is a time to honor the veteran’s who have given so much, their very lives in many cases, to ensure the freedom and way of life of their country.
