Recent Video National Guard officer honored with ceremonial first pitch
In this video segment released by the Texas Military Forces, Army National Guard Col. Mark Campsey visits Minute Maid Park to throw out the ceremonial first pitch in Houston, Texas, Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011. The Houston Astros baseball club honored Col. Campsey with the gesture as part of his retirement from the Guard after more than 20 years of service. The last several years of his career were as the commander of Houston’s 72nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, and included leading the unit during its 2009-2010 deployment to Iraq, one of the largest deployments of the Texas Army National Guard since World War II.
