News Stories ‘Rough Riders’ open new headquarters
The 43rd Sustainment Brigade leadership officially opened the doors to its new headquarters building on Fort Carson during a ribbon-cutting ceremony Dec. 9.
Prior to the new building, the "Rough Rider" Brigade operated from three different buildings, with its brigade, battalion and company headquarters being spread across post. Now, with the 43rd SB and the 43rd Special Troops Battalion under one roof, execution of sustainment missions has reached a greater level of efficiency.

 Army Vice Chief of Staff visits, re-enlists sustainers in Afghanistan
The Soldiers of Fort Carson’s 43rd Sustainment Brigade received a visit from U.S. Army Vice Chief of Staff Gen. Peter W. Chiarelli and Under Secretary of the Army Honorable Dr. Joseph Westphal at the brigade’s tactical operations center on Kandahar Air Field, Afghanistan, Dec. 7.

 Fort Carson's 'Wheels of Distinction' roll home
The Soldiers of Fort Carson's 68th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 43rd Sustainment Brigade, wrapped up a yearlong deployment and welcomed the 129th CSSB, of Fort Campbell, Ky., during a transfer of authority ceremony at Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan, Oct. 31.
