Soldier to receive Silver Star for valor under fire On June 6, the 65th anniversary of D-Day, Spc. David Hutchinson will become only the fifth Army Reserve Soldier to receive the Silver Star. While deployed to Afghanistan with the 420th Engineering Brigade, Hutchinson attacked and destroyed an enemy machine gun nest, an act of valor that was instrumental in saving the lives of 16 fellow Soldiers. 06.6.09 Story by Capt. BTH Hosts Soccer Tournament for Local Schools The 478th Civil Affairs Battalion of Miami has been busy with more than just facilitating contracts between local vendors and Beyond the Horizon engineers and distributing donated clothing, toys and school supplies at the five construction sites that BTH is responsible for throughout Honduras this year.
