News Stories Safety Stand-Down at Camp Ramadi Venturing throughout the greater Ramadi area and occasionally into remote areas of Al Anbar province, they operate together frequently enough that a comfort level and personal bond has formed. The most important element is to understand each other's role.
12.11.09 Story by Staff Sgt. Liesl Marelli
Deployed Identical Brothers It's not often that brothers deploy together. It's even more infrequent that two brothers share the same rank, the same battalion and, if you don't know them well enough, you would never be able to tell them apart. Identical twin brothers, Sgt. 1st Class Mitchell Landers and Sgt. 1st Class Michael Landers are a unique pair. 11.13.09 Story by Staff Sgt. Liesl Marelli
On Their Own Terms Thanks to a new program, troops injured in combat are able to return to the combat zone and see the country that changed their lives. Along the way, they can hope to find the closure they need after suffering life-changing injuries. Among those returning are five amputees, one service member blinded from an improvised explosive device and one who, for a period of time, was unable to read, write and communicate due to a traumatic brain injury. 10.15.09 Story by Liesl Marelli
Stay Alert, Stay Alive Missions only happen to fulfill a legitimate need, said a Provincial Reconstruction Team member. The mission Oct. 8 was two-fold: introduce a new team member to an Iraqi judge and also follow up on a case to see that justice is going to be served for a Marine killed in Al Anbar previously. 10.8.09 Story by Liesl Marelli
Training in Iraq Continues for Colorado Guardsmen The open desert in certain regions of Iraq creates a playground for training that helps Soldiers maintain situational awareness and also hone their marksmanship skills. 10.6.09 Story by Liesl Marelli
