News Stories Shelter above the rest Often, the fielding of new equipment can be a trying, stressful time for a unit and its soldiers. For the 89th Sustainment Brigade on Forward Operating Base Schoonover at CSTX 91 11-01, however, the adjustment to their new fielding has been quite easy. The 89th is the only unit participating in the exercise that utilizes the Deployable Rapid Assembly Shelter. Abraham-Lincoln wins lottery For the past four years Claude Abraham-Lincoln has been living in the United States. However, he was born in Ghana, Africa in 1974. He lived in a small town called Tema. Scuba diver serves in the Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Thomas H. Andrews has always enjoyed taking care of soldiers. He started out as an infantryman March 1997, and after some years he decided to take that a little further. The Army National Guard has arrived Army Reserve units participating in the Combat Support Training Exercise 91 11-01 at Fort Hunter Liggett conduct joint operations with an Army National Guard unit, the 109th Regional Support Group out of Rapid City, S.D. The 109th is the only National Guard unit to participate in this year’s exercise.

Asphalt Engineers Engage in Resurfacing Project
674th, 340th, and 328th Engineer Companies were given the mission to resurface the parking lot area for the 91st Training Division Headquarters. Soldiers from the three engineer companies worked for over a week to complete the paving project during the Combat Support Training Exercise, CSTX 91-11-01, at Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif.
