National Guard Soldiers Trade Air defense Artillery for MP Occupation
When Spc. Nantena M. Beller, gunner for 2nd platoon,
1-188th Air Defense Artillery (ADA) from the N.D. Army National Guard,
received a phone call asking if she would volunteer to deploy as part of a
military police unit, she said yes, thinking she would be pulling gate guard
in Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. (02/13/07)
Servicemen celebrate freedom, remember fallen at Afghanistan Veterans’ Day ceremony
Thousands of miles from their homes, in a country where the danger is as real as the bullets in their rifles, American servicemembers (and even a trio of French officers) gathered in a small wooden chapel on a bleak, rainy Veterans’ Day on base to honor U.S. vets and fallen comrades. (11/11/06)
Coalition delivers humanitarian aid after Operation Medusa
ANA and Coalition Soldiers helped deliver the first wave of humanitarian aid to the villages of Regay and Pashmul in Southern Afghanistan on Sept. 21 and 22, following Operation Medusa which effectively defeated the enemy insurgents in the area. (09/22/06)
2-4 Infantry completes mission in Zabul province; refits at KAF
Members of Task Force Warrior recently conducted a battle change over with the Romanian Task Force at their Forward Operating Base in the Zabul province and moved its troops and equipment to Kandahar Airfield for refit (08/14/06)
