 Moment Of Valor 25
Package of Pfc. John Schwindt, a combat medic, who upon a route clearing mission with his convoy were hit with an explosively formed penetrator and then became attacked by small arms fire. The UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter is the Army’s primary form of air transportation – and also one of its fastest vehicles on, or above, the battlefield.
Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers and civilian contractors had the opportunity to gather as a Christian community April 11–12 during a Gospel Revival Service at the 4th Infantry Division’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation Field House on Camp Liberty.
The efforts of one Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldier made it possible for deployed troops to once again enjoy fresh eggs as one of their breakfast options after the nutritious staple was banned from Iraq for one year.
Smiling faces, busy streets and crowded markets were apparent throughout Baghdad as Iraqi security forces could be seen at nearly every corner keeping close watch over their friends, their Families – their citizens.
There are three elements that make for a strong, well-balanced Soldier – physical fitness, mental fitness and spiritual fitness; as the sun slowly crept from the calm eastern Baghdad horizon, it was spiritual fitness that was in everyone’s hearts and minds.
