This week, the 25th Combat Aviation Brigade “Wings of Lightning,” 25th Infantry Division began deployment from Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii, to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

 CAB Family Support Center doors open to CAB families
It is said that behind every strong man is a strong woman, but for soldiers, it is a strong family. When soldiers leave on deployment, they leave behind a spouse that often becomes both a mother and father. For soldiers who are married and do not have children, deployments still add stress.

25th CAB to increase Aviation Operations in support of critical pre-deployment training
From Oct. 3-31 the 25th Combat Aviation Brigade will increase flight activity for critical pre-deployment training at the Pohakuloa Training Area on the Island of Hawaii.

In preparation for its upcoming deployment, the 25th Combat Aviation Brigade recently conducted a Culminating Training Event. The CTE allowed the 25th CAB and its subordinate battalions to train on mission critical tasks in order to increase their mission readiness.
