Marines welcome Iraqi Air Force with open wings
The Iraqi Ministry of Defense directed that one detachment of helicopters from 4th Squadron, Iraqi Air Force, be located at Camp Al Taqaddum, Iraq, in order to provide a rotary wing transportation
capability to the Anbar Operations Command, a command center for all Iraqi security forces in Iraq's Al Anbar province.

Marines, sailors shut down major base in Iraq one area at a time
Marine Corps participation in Operation Iraqi Freedom is drawing to a close as Marines, Sailors and equipment make their way back home or to other parts of the globe. As part of the departure, one of the Marine Corps' largest bases in the country is on its way to being in the hands of the Iraqi government once again. (11/3/09)
