Local medical professionals and students joined United States medical personnel from Multinational Battle Group East, KFOR, for a Grand Rounds event Jan. 31 at the hospital in Ferizaj/Urosevic. The medical community was invited to participate in a discussion and hands-on demonstration of intubation.

Deployments are a difficult time for soldiers and their families. Soldiers miss many family gatherings, holidays, birthdays and other special occasions during the length of their deployments. However, a few soldiers deployed to Kosovo have loved ones nearby.

 KFOR gives UXO class to local children
In a land that has seen many wars and conflicts, Unexploded Ordnance is a real concern. Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit soldiers from Poland and the United States held a class in Kamenice/Kamenica, Jan. 18, to inform the local children of the potential dangers they face.

Billy Blanks visits Camp Bondsteel
“Tae Bo” creator and fitness guru Billy Blanks visited Camp Bondsteel and Camp Film City, Jan. 17 and 18, for a two-day “Spirit and Body Tour” of Kosovo, where he met with members of Multinational Battle Group East and conducted Tae Bo classes for the troops.
