Soldiers from 1st Battalion/360th Infantry Regiment (Task Force Warhawg) picked up their new M1097R1 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles at Fort Bliss on June 2, 2009. The M1097R1 is part of the HMMWV Recapitalization program and received a new powertrain package that includes a new engine and drive train which will support an increased payload, allowing for the addition of add on armor.
