116th Cavalry Troops are proud of their service in Iraq Members of Alpha Troop, 2nd Squadron, 116th Cavalry Regiment, are reflecting on their tour as they prepare to redeploy back to their home state of Idaho in the fall. The unit has spent nine months providing security for two camps at Victory Base Complex in Baghdad as one of the force protection units under the 116th Cavalry Brigade, United States Division–Center, in support of Operation New Dawn.

New fuel pipeline keeps Boise jets flying A new above-ground pipeline at Gowen Field is bringing “clean and dry” aviation fuel to the A-10s and visiting aircraft. The stainless steel pipeline, that is easier to access and maintain, became operational at the end of May. Boise Civil Support Team makes a big boom at Boise State A fizz, then a sharp crack echoes from the walls of the Taco Bell Arena, not unlike the pyrotechnics often seen and heard at rock shows in the arena. Firefighters honored by filling the boot for muscular dystrophy The Professional Firefighters of Idaho recognized the Gowen Field Fire Department as its most generous member at their annual conference earlier this month. They honored the department for raising the "Most Dollars Raised per Member" on behalf of the Muscular Dystrophy Association's 2010 "Fill the Boot" event.
