The 1st Brigade, 205th Afghan National Army Corps, conducted their first independently planned and executed operation Dec. 17-23, 2011. The operation included Afghan Uniformed Police, Afghan National Defense Services and Afghan National Civil Order Police. Afghan forces discovered IEDs, weapons and illegal narcotics during the operation, but most of all, they earned the trust of the local residents.
