    FACES FROM THE FRONT REGISTRATION

What is Faces From the Front?
Faces From the Front is a Department of Defense public affairs program designed to tell the individual stories of Soldiers, Sailors, Airman and Marines serving around the globe to the American people through multiple venues and media. Formerly part of the Army’s Operation Tribute to Freedom program, FFTF is now administered by the Defense Visual Information Distribution Service (DVIDS). Every week, DVIDS selects service members with compelling stories to profile. DVIDS Media Relations Specialists then pitch those profile stories to hometown, veteran and defense media outlets with the goal of placing the profile article and/or generating an interview opportunity. DVIDS also shares the profile via social media and posts it to the DVIDS public website.

    What is DVIDS?
DVIDS is a state-of-the-art, 24/7 operation that provides a timely, accurate, and reliable connection between the media and the United States military serving worldwide under the operational control of the Defense Media Activity. Through a network of portable Ku-band satellite transmitters located in-theater and a cloud base, DVIDS makes available real-time broadcast-quality video, still images, and print products as well as immediate interview opportunities with service members, commanders, and subject matter experts.
