NASHVILLE, Tenn.— Army Reserve soldiers of the 320th Military Police Company based in St. Petersburg, Fla., will hold a departure ceremony Sunday, Oct. 21 as they prepare to deploy in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
The unit nicknamed the Bulldogs will conduct military police operational support to the active U.S. Army. The company returned from its most recent overseas deployment in January 2009.
“It's a privilege held by few to lead soldiers on the battle field,” said company commander Capt. Douglas A. Worstell. “It is an honor that I have been entrusted with the lives of America’s best.”
Members of the media and the general public are invited to attend the departure ceremony Sunday, Oct. 21 at 11 a.m. at the Army Reserve Medical Command Reserve Center, 2801 Grand Ave., Pinellas Park, Fla., 33782.
Members of the media are invited to arrive 45 minutes prior to the beginning of the ceremony.
The unit will undergo mobilization training at Fort Bliss, Texas, for several weeks before leaving for its overseas deployment.
