4th Sustainment Brigade leaders set way ahead

FORT HOOD, Texas - After a month since changing command, the Wrangler leadership held an offsite conference to discuss the future of the 4th Sustainment Brigade and determine the main priorities of the brigade’s leadership.

Col. Mark Simerly, commander of the 4th Sustainment Brigade, gathered his battalion command teams and senior staff to bond together and use their creative juices to collaborate and establish a common theme and mission statement for the brigade.

The leaders started the day with a team building exercise followed by group discussions outlining where the Wrangler Brigade has been, what it has accomplished, and what the future holds in store for the unit.

Simerly said he wanted to bring the leaders together to get to know each other and to leverage their collaborative opinions to collectively set the conditions for success within the Wrangler Brigade.

Following the discussions, the leaders separated into small groups and brainstormed different goals and mission statements focusing on Simerly’s three main command priorities – sustaining forces on Fort Hood, prepping for the future of sustainment operations, and taking care of the soldiers and their families.
