HERAT, Afghanistan - Local Afghans visited the Herat Provincial Reconstruction Team to receive daily medical assistance there.

The civil-military cooperation initiative, Jan. 8-Feb. 18, bolstered interoperability between local and coalition military medical personnel at the PRT.

Local teams of one doctor and one nurse came from three Herat-based comprehensive health centers at: Babahy Barq, Manarha and Now Abad.

The clinic was open from 9 to 11 a.m. every day, except Friday and Sunday.

After the activity concluded Feb. 18, medical care was no longer available to local Afghans at the PRT, but the PRT, in-turn, supported all three CHCs by providing medicine and medical equipment.
