Highlighting Cherry Point's warriors.

Q: What’s your job?

A: I am a mechanic and deal with the engines and props of the KC-130J Hercules. Most of the maintenance we do is preventative, aside from complaints we investigate post- flight.

Q: What’s your favorite aspect of your job?

A: I enjoy learning new stuff everyday and seeing the results of all the work we put forth.

Q: What’s the most challenging part?

A: Long hours and keeping up with the knowledge of continually learning how different parts of the engine affect other parts.

Q: How does your job support the mission of 2nd MAW?

A: We’re responsible for one aircraft the Marine Corps cannot live without because the KC-130J Hercules is the Marine Corps’ main source of transportation and aerial refueling.

Q: How does your job differ from garrison to the field?

A: Our job in the field is more mission-related, whereas, in garrison, it’s about Marines maintaining their qualifications.
