CONTINGENCY OPERATING BASE SPEICHER, Iraq – Pvt. Joshua Bonorino, a movement specialist for the 840th Transportation Battalion, is currently on deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom at Contingency Operating Base Speicher, Iraq.
Bonorino, a Hartford, Conn., native, ensures equipment of redeploying units is properly shipped. On this deployment, Pvt. Bonorino hopes to earn enough money in order to study arts and media in college.
He is the son of Jennette Sottow, his biological mother, and Rosa Crespo and Angel Diaz, his adoptive parents, all of Hartford, Conn. Bonorino says the best thing about the deployment is that it's a new adventure, and he gets to work with computers.
