U.S. Army Chief of Staff Visits Troops in Egypt

Task Force Sinai Commander and MFO Chief of Staff, U.S. Army Col. James B. Mingo began the morning by giving Casey a series of briefings followed by a luncheon in Casey's honor.

Casey spoke briefly during a luncheon with the soldiers where he addressed several issues to include a new program developed by the Army, the Comprehensive Soldier Fitness Program. The Comprehensive Soldier Fitness Program was started in Oct. 2009 to give soldiers and families the skills needed to successfully handle the rigors of deployments.

Also during the luncheon, Casey took an opportunity to reenlist U.S. Army Spc. Ramon Gutierrez, a 1st Support Battalion soldier and Puerto Rico native.

Finally, Casey expressed his admiration and gratitude to the soldiers of Task Force Sinai for the work they are doing here to support the Peace Process. "Everyday that Israel and Egypt remain at peace is proof of the outstanding work we are doing here," said Casey.
