US Army Central Soldier Spotlight

CAMP ARIFJAN, Kuwait – This week’s U.S. Army Central Soldier Spotlight is Spc. Nicole Potter, a USARCENT video teleconference coordinator.

Potter, a “military brat” with no claim to any particular hometown, is a USARCENT Soldier from Shaw Air Force Base with four years of service in the U.S. Army. Potter is two months into a six-month deployment to Kuwait.

This is Potter’s first deployment. She is married to Daniel Potter; they have a one-year-old son named Adam. Potter plans to go to the Soldier of the Month Board in October and is working on correspondence courses while studying for the board.
Q: What is your favorite movie genre?

A: I like DreamWorks animation, Marvel and DC comics’ movies.

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: Sushi.

Q: What are your goals?

A: Right now, I plan to stay in the Army for 20 years. I would like to get my degree in photography and become a landscape photographer.

Q: What are you most proud of?

A: My family.

Q: What are your hobbies?

A: I play PC games, knit and read.

Q: If you could spend one day working another job at USARCENT, what would it be?

A: Public Affairs — I would like to get my hands on a camera and taking photos.
