FORT MCCOY, Wis. — Stephen Tellatin was appointed an Army Reserve Ambassador for the state of Nebraska on March 21 by the Chief of the Army Reserve, Lt. Gen. Jeffrey W. Talley.

Tellatin joins more than 100 Army Reserve Ambassadors throughout country to help promote awareness and understanding of Army Reserve units and soldiers within their assigned states.

Some of Tellatin’s Army awards include the Bronze Star, two Meritorious Service Medals and seven Army Commendation Medals. Civilian awards include the Fremont Police Life Saving Award. Other duties performed by Tellatin include Adjunct Instructor for Criminal Justice at the Metropolitan Community College, Omaha, Neb., and Rotary Club of Fremont member. Additionally, he is the Military Outreach Director for the Nebraska Committee for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.

As an Army Reserve Ambassador, Tellatin will help educate local and state businesses, as well as government and social sectors on the Army Reserve’s mission, significant contributions and resource needs. Tellatin can be reached by email at sftellatin@gmail.com.
