PARWAN, Afghanistan – The 5th Special Operations Kandak, Afghan National Army Special Operations Command, sent an additional 80 commandos to reinforce a coalition enabled operation in Faryab province.

So far, 5th SOK and Afghan National Army 209th Corps, have killed 17 enemies in action and wounded four enemies in the first few days of the multi-day mission.

On the same day, Afghan special forces, partnered with coalition advisers, conducted a clearance mission in a village in Logar province.

One insurgent was killed and three more were detained and then taken by Afghan National Police.

ANA special operations soldiers continue to conduct high risk missions across Afghanistan, bringing peace and stability to the people.
