MCGHEE TYSON AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Tenn. - The I.G. Brown Training and Education Center brought in 2014 by recognizing two enlisted leaders here for their performance.

Officials announced Jan. 2 the TEC's Senior Noncommissioned Officer (SNCO) and Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) of the final quarter of 2013, covering October to December.

Both individuals work for the Paul H. Lankford Enlisted PME Center.

"Please join me in congratulating Master Sgt. William D. Britt, TEC's SNCO of the Quarter; and Tech. Sgt. William McDonald, TEC's NCO of the Quarter," said Col. Tim Cathcart, TEC's commander, in an email announcement.

"Their hard work and outstanding efforts really stood out during our very challenging last quarter," said Cathcart. "Great work!"

Britt is the senior certified Air Force EPME instructor here. The Center conducts an average of 18 EPME courses each year, to include resident and satellite versions of Noncommissioned Officer Academy and Airman Leadership School for about 2,000 Total Air Force students, as well as Coast Guard and international students.

McDonald is the NCO in charge of Student Operations. He previously served in knowledge operations management for the 134th Air Refueling Wing, Tennessee Air National Guard after leaving the regular Air Force.

The TEC's awardees are selected from its total Air Force staff for their significant accomplishments, self-improvement, and base or community involvement.
