Tradition continues as US Army Central's colors pass from Frennier to Kelley

SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. – U.S. Army Central will host a change of responsibility ceremony between Command Sgt. Maj. Stephan Frennier and Command Sgt. Maj. Ronnie R. Kelley here at Patton Hall’s Lucky Park Jan. 8 at 10 a.m. Officiating the ceremony is Lt. Gen. James L. Terry, commanding general USARCENT, who will exchange the USARCENT colors from one command sergeant major to the next.

Kelley is a native of Bryan, Texas, and enlisted in the Army July 1985. His 28-year career includes previous assignments throughout the U.S., Germany and Korea.

Kelley's operational deployments include Bosnia and three tours to Iraq. His awards include four Bronze Stars. For Kelley’s complete bio information click on the attachment provided.

Kelley replaces Frennier who will retire from the Army with 33 years of service. Media are invited to attend the change of responsibility ceremony Jan. 8 at 10 a.m. There will be opportunities for still and video imagery and interviews. Media should meet the USARCENT representative at the visitor’s center by the main gate at 9 a.m. The media convoy will depart no later than 9:20 a.m.
