SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. – The 4th Battlefield Coordination Detachment will conduct a Change of Command Ceremony hosted by Lt. Gen. James L. Terry Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 10 a.m., here, at Patton Hall’s Lucky Park.

The 4th BCD will bid farewell to Col. Benjamin M. Matthews and welcome Col. Robert Agans.

The 4th BCD is a subordinate command of U.S. Army Central serving as the liaison between the Air Force and U.S. Army Central covering a 20 country area of responsibility spanning from Egypt to Afghanistan.

The 4th BCD invites media to attend the change of command ceremony Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. There will be opportunities for still and video imagery and interviews.

Media interested in attending the change of command ceremony should confirm with the USARCENT Public Affairs Office, Maj. Fred Williams, no later than Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 803-885-7480 or email fredrick.o.williams.mil@mail.mil. Upon confirmation, media will meet at the Shaw AFB Visitor’s Center located at the main gate entrance no later than Dec. 4 at 9:15 a.m.
