FORT WORTH, Texas - A Brass Quintet from the 1st Marine Division Band is performing concerts for the local community and university students around western Texas and New Mexico, November 4-7.

They will be performing at:

The Brass Quintet can provide music for solemn occasions such as memorial services and other military ceremonial events. They have also performed and given master classes at various high school music programs in support of the Marine Corps recruiting effort. Their repertoire includes Jazz and Broadway musicals, Bach and Beethoven, and John Philip Sousa. This diversity enables the Brass Quintet to perform for military ceremonies, chamber music concerts, or various official functions.

The 1st Marine Division Band, based at Camp Pendleton, California, consists of 50 Marine musicians. While the primary mission of the 1st Marine Division Band is to provide musical support for military parades and ceremonies, they remain versatile in order to accommodate a wide variety of musical requests. In addition to the Ceremonial Band and Concert Band, smaller ensembles are formed such as Big Band, Rock Band, Jazz Combo, Brass Quintet, and Party Band.
