Army Reserve to host 2-star Change-Of-Command Ceremony

The Army Reserve’s 99th Regional Support Command is scheduled to host a change-of-command ceremony Nov. 3 at 10 a.m. on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., to welcome its new commanding general.

Scheduled to speak during the event are:

 Maj. Gen. Glenn J. Lesniak, deputy commanding general for support, U.S. Army Reserve Command

 Maj. Gen. William D. Razz Waff, outgoing commanding general of the 99th RSC

 Maj. Gen. Margaret W. Boor, incoming commanding general of the 99th RSC

Maj. Gen. Margaret W. Boor assumed command of the 99th Regional Support Command on Oct. 1, 2013. Prior to her current duty assignment, Boor was the Deputy Director for Logistics Readiness, J4 (IMA), Office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Washington D.C.

As the commanding general of the 99th RSC, Boor is responsible for administrative, logistics and facilities support to more than 51,000 Army Reserve Soldiers in 454 units at 332 reserve-component facilities and 33 maintenance facilities in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island and the District of Columbia.

Boor also served with the Defense Logistics Agency from 2009-2010 as Vice Director of Operations and Sustainment Logistics and Chief of Staff before deploying to Afghanistan from July 2010 to September 2011 as the director of Task Force Spotlight.
