KABUL, Afghanistan – ISAF strongly condemns the murder of at least 18 civilians who were killed when their vehicle struck an improvised explosive device after celebrating a wedding in Ghazni Sunday.
Among the civilian casualties were 14 women and two children who died in the explosion, which occurred in the Andar district. Two men also were killed in the bombing, while five other women were injured.
ISAF expresses its condolences to the families of those killed and wounded in today's attack against the Afghan people. We will continue to stand by the people of Afghanistan in this fight against extremists whose senseless acts endanger innocent women and children.
